Tips on learning how to ride a bike as an adult?

Okay. We hear there are adult tricycles. That's probably the best bet. If your heart is set on a two-wheeler- you'll need a patient friend OR band together with the neighbourhood kids. They'll appreciate the camaraderie. Community Bike Network or Dufferin Grove Park in Toronto may have some programs. If you are not in Toronto, there are probably some reasonable facsimiles in other places.

1) Two hands on the handlebars.
2) Keep up the momentum! Going slow is and advanced move!
3) Learn on grass.
4) Wear safety gear.
5) Laugh at yourself.
6) Spring for training wheels, if your ego can handle it.
